No When working at Nihonbashi Takashimaya I generally would have lunch at Yoshinozushi Honten. The sushiya dates again 140 years. Yoshinozushi is legendary for being the restaurant the place fatty tuna was first known as toro. It’s a fifth-generation restaurant.

Once I was going about 20 years in the past there was a younger apprentice, Takuya, who was delivering tea and taking orders. As we speak Takuya works behind the sushi counter. I used to be so glad when he introduced me my lunch order. ☺️🍣

At lunchtime diners can select both nigiri zushi or chirashi zushi. The scattered sushi is a mattress of rice lined with a wide range of sashimi. My nigiri zushi doesn’t embody ebi shrimp or tamago egg as it’s made with a shrimp paste and I’m allergic to shrimp.

The eight-pieces of nigiri zushi is 2,750 yen ($18). A wonderful worth. It’s a busy restaurant at lunchtime and never a restaurant to linger. Eat and depart in order that any clients queuing exterior can dine.
***Money solely.
